NOTICE OF ELECTION

TO ALL ACTIVE, INACTIVE & RETIRED MEMBERS OF THE FALL RIVER CONTRIBUTORY RETIREMENT SYSTEM


An election is to be held for the purpose of electing one (1) member of the Fall River Contributory Retirement System to serve as the 3rd Member position on the Fall River Contributory Retirement Board for a term of three (3) years. Said term will commence on January 1, 2018.


The election shall be conducted entirely by mail.  If more than one candidate has been nominated, an election ballot, ballot envelope & return envelope will be prepared and mailed to each active, inactive and retired member of the system on or about November 15, 2017.  


Ballots must be returned by mail and received on or before December 15, 2017. Tabulation of ballots will take place at the Fall River Retirement Board office on December 18, 2017 at 9:00 A.M.


Nomination forms will be available 9/15/17 and are to be obtained at the Fall River Retirement Board office located at 30 Third Street-Suite 301, Fall River, MA 02720 during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday).


All active members in service and retirees in the Fall River Contributory Retirement System may qualify as a candidate by filing with the Fall River Retirement Board Office a nomination form containing the signatures and addresses of at least twenty (20) active or retired members of the System. The nomination form must be filed on or before 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 13, 2017.
