An election is to be held for the purpose of electing a Member of the Fall River Contributory Retirement System to serve on the Fall River Contributory Retirement Board for a term of three (3) years.  Said term will commence on January 1, 2009.

The election shall be conducted entirely by mail.  If more than one candidate has been nominated, an election ballot, ballot envelope & return envelope shall be prepared and mailed to each member/retiree of the system by December 1, 2008.

Ballots must be returned by mail on or before December 22, 2008.  Tabulation of ballots will take place at the Fall River Retirement Board office on December 23, 2008 at 9:00 A.M.

All holding membership, including retirees, in the Fall River Contributory Retirement System may qualify as a candidate by filing with the Fall River Retirement Board Office a nomination paper containing the signatures and addresses of at least twenty (20) members/retirees of the System.  The nomination papers must be filed on or before 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 6, 2008.
